IQ+ provides actionable insights for clinical teams from comparing performance against our de-identified, aggregated database. IQ+ highlights anomalies in outcomes for medication advisory committees to review with meaningful feedback on detailed medication workflows compared to the industry benchmarks with models including

For homes that opt in, benchmarking allows them to compare against other BESTMED homes on a risk-adjusted basis based on their resident mix. The benchmarking analysis is prepared in-house by our data scientist team using machine learning and remains within BESTMED infrastructure.

No. BESTMED IQ introduces no new data processing, no new storage location and no new sub-processor. It operates entirely within the existing Australian Microsoft Azure architecture — same tenancy model, same Australian data residency, same sub-processor list already disclosed for BESTdose. IQ reads from the data set that already exists under those products; it creates no data flow outside that boundary and no new externally hosted component.
At this stage, BESTMED IQ will not be enabled in the demo environment because the demo data does not accurately reflect what customers will see. It will also not replace current reporting, allowing you to evaluate it alongside your existing processes.
Your relationship manager will arrange a small addendum to the contract which clarifies the use of data and that BESTMED IQ is included and will continue to be included in your standard subscription.
Just a Facility config in BESTMED to enable it. BESTMED IQ is turned on per facility via the Facility configuration in BESTMED – no other setup is needed on our side.
Users who have access to reports. Access follows the existing report permissions in User Management, so staff who can already access reports will see BESTMED IQ, and the reports shown in a user’s menu match their report permissions.
BESTMED IQ has three components: real-time dashboards, saved and shared reports, and Pulse Check. Pulse Check issues alerts only when configured thresholds are crossed. BESTMED IQ does NOT use AI, because it doesn’t need to. Existing software surfaces the data insights to act on. We’re busy testing AI on the problems it’s best suited to solve and when ready, will release these as an opt-in.
Any future AI or agentic functionality will be clearly communicated, opt-in, configurable, and fully transparent to organisations.
